Camembert with Figs, Honey & Pistachios

This will quickly become any cheese lover’s favourite Camembert dish.

The cheese is warm, rich and oozy inside, and the combination of dried and fresh figs with the crunch of the pistachio is delicious!

If you can’t get your hands on the dried figs, add a few more fresh ones.

Ingredients

1 Camembert round
6 sprigs thyme
2 fresh figs, quartered
8 dried fig pieces
A handful pistachios, roughly chopped
2 big tbsp honey
1 small baguette, thinly sliced

Method

Preheat oven to 160°C.

Place the Camembert and thyme in a small oven-proof dish slightly larger than the cheese.

Drizzle half of the honey over the cheese and bake for about 10 mins, or until it feels melted in the middle when light pressure is applied.

Remove from the oven and top with fresh and dried figs and pistachios, and drizzle over the remaining honey.

Serve hot with baguette slices.
