Ploughman’s Lunch
The Ploughman’s Lunch originated in England and was a staple farm worker’s packed lunch. It had to be filling and only contained product and produce that could be served cold.
Along with what we’ve used here, you would often find blue cheese, apples, tomatoes, horseradish, cultured butter, pastrami, pork pie, and any other pickle that takes your fancy.
You can sprinkle a little ground mustard power over the eggs for flavour.
The Ploughman’s Lunch is a great spread when you have a group of people to feed and is a nice change from an anti-pasti board.
We’re not to give you quantities for this spread.
Consider how many people you are feeding and ensure there is enough of each to satisfy them.
